DOCUMENTARIES

Van de documentaires die ik maakte zijn er drie die voor mij van bijzondere betekenis zijn geweest. Omdat ze gingen over mensen die ik goed tot zeer goed heb gekend.

Comédienne Sylvia Millecam, politicus Pim Fortuyn en mijn vaste cameraman Lajos Kalanos.

Sylvia - Meisje Met De Volgspot

Sylvia was een goede vriendin van mij. Tot ontsteltenis van velen weigerde zij zich te laten

behandelen voor kanker. Na haar dood sprak ik met haar intimi over haar leven, carriere en overlijden.

Pim Fortuyn - De Messias

A year after the murder of Pim Fortuyn, I made a documentary with his closest friends about the rise and fall of the politician.

Mijn Vriend Lajos - De Zesde Etage

Lajos Kalanos was not only my cameraman but also my most faithful companion. The Hungarian refugee made television history here. We returned to the Stalinist prison where many of his cellmates were hanged after show trials.

20 Jaar Gevoel van de Vierdaagse

Upon my farewell from the Four Days Marches program in 2024, I created a compilation of 20 years of reporting on the walking event. A compelling journey through the walking, the living, and the suffering of the ‘March of Marches.’
